The math nobody wrote down.
A small child needs an adult in the room for most of the day. Multiply that by the number of children under 10 you have, subtract sleep, subtract everything else that has to happen for a household to keep running, and the number of hours in a week where you are not on duty is roughly zero. That is not a personal failing. It is the actual math of this stage. Most of the work at the beginning is naming that out loud so you stop treating your exhaustion as evidence that you are doing it wrong.
